What we collect when you buy an e-book from The Side Door, why we collect it, and who else sees it.

What we collect
- Your Google account email and name, when you sign in. We receive these from Google; we never see your Google password.
- Your phone number, only if you choose to enter it at checkout.
- A record of what you bought — the payment reference, amount and date.
- Your email address, if you ask for the free chapter.
- Ordinary server logs — IP address, browser, page requested — kept briefly for security and debugging.
What we never collect
We do not see or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV or bank credentials. Payment details are entered inside Razorpay's own checkout and never reach our servers. We receive only a payment reference and whether it succeeded.
Why we collect it
To deliver the e-book you paid for, to let you sign back in and find your purchase, to answer your emails, and to honour refunds. That is all. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes. Free-chapter signups are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are discarded within a few weeks.
Your choices
Email shopatcipher@gmail.com to get a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting your data may mean you lose access to a book you bought, so we will confirm before we do it.
Cookies
One cookie, and only after you sign in: it keeps you signed in and nothing else. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
These e-books are written for working-age adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
